European Warranty

Post by maxcat »

Hi,

I'm new in this forum, I can't found anything else like that, congratulations!
I'm looking for a Corsaro in Spain, I found a second hand unit from 2007 (july of 2007), but I don't know if this bike have warranty until July of 2010, or if is ended.
Some members of this forum said that Moto Morini upgrades from 2 to 3 years for all bikes (sold or new), in all Eurpean Countries (included Spain). Is it true?

Thanks for your help, I wish to become a new Moto Morini Rider!

Hi Maxcat, and welcome to this Forum.

Morini have been imported into Spain since April 2009 by Promotoor http://www.proeuropa.es, based in Madrid. Your machine will probably have come in from another European country (France?). You can tell if a 2007 model has had upgrades by the earth wire under the radiator, and ECU reference. There are a number of threads on this pages that cover the topic. Full contact details are listed in the Morini web site at http://www.morini.com but the listing uses the English spelling "Spain"; further down than you may have looked!

The Factory is looking to refinance at present, but I understand that - in the UK at least - warrenty claims are still being handled as usual. Hopefully that is a good sign...

Whatever you decide or discover, let us know, and good riding,

CC

Thanks chris,

I know that ProEuropa is the new importer of Moto Morini in Spain. They said that only have 3 years of warranty for the bikes what they have sold, not for the other bike sold for other importers. I dont like this answer. :-(
The bike I found, it was bought in Corver SA, the last oficial Importer until ProEuropa. This bike is not a paralel imported, is an oficial bike. They said me, it only have 2 years of warranty. But I don't know if its a true information, becouse they aren't interested to give 1 year more of warranty if they wasn't now a oficial importer.
Do you understand what I want to say?

Upgrades:
I don't saw the bike, I only spoke with the seller. He said me, never have had any problem with the bike. I supose this bike it don't have any upgrades.
¿What kind of upgrades need this model? Is a Corsaro Veloce from July 2007.

I fell in love when I Saw this bike. .. . ..

Thanks a lot for your help
