Kickstart

Post by TimBell1962 »

Odd question, but, Is there any mechanical reason, that maybe detrimental to the running of the bike, that a kickstart can't be removed, relying solely on the electric start?

No reason at all. Remove the whole mechanism though, not just the external lever, then bung the shaft hole with a Nylon or alloy plug that can't fall in or out.
You obviously have a good electric starter!

The spline will have to remain in place, Ive just removed the arm for now. I've found a soft plastic cap that will cover it.
