Hello

Im looking for a comprehensive shopping list for my 1975 3 1/2 sport carbs

Ive begun stripping them down and after a snapped main jet and multiple destroyed o-rings im looking to replace jets, gaskets and seals.

If anyone has a list for the VHB25BS and VHBZ25HS i would really appreciate it. A lot of the jets are pitted etc and i cant get any info off them.

Hi Matt

Is this useful - it should give yoy the Jet sizes at least. Eurocarbs should have all the parts.

There is a table on page 38 of the blue book which lists all the carb settings for various models. That’s a good starting point, but you may find like many that with modern fuels, wear and non standard parts (especially exhaust syetms) the settings as they were in 1975 may not be exactly as you will find you need.

Commonly people are fitting leaner pilot jets to get around excessive richness off idle and that has certainly improved mine.

Great cheers guys, im going to go for standard settings as the bike is all standard in regards to drivetrain.

If you could also point me in the direction of where i can find the bolt for the tank to frame i would appreciate it. Its gone missing during storage.

Hi Matt.

The screws that fix the front of the tank are M7 x 25mm. Fastpack have them in stock although there is a minimum order of 5 which will cost you £5.99.

Bolts - For M7, D Middleton sell them in stainless, also sell M7 nylon nuts as well ( good for tappet blocks and rear brake torque arm.)
