The floating disc is lovely, and works very well. No problem with the clearances.
Dean is very busy, you have to keep on at him sometimes, it took a while to get my disc, but it was worth the wait.
I think it was around £137, but that could well have gone up?.

Thanks for that, Alan. Looks like the way forward for me at last. The bike is horrible to ride at the moment; OK on the move, but you know that you are going to have to stop at some time. Can't be doing the forks much good either, but my main concern is rider comfort!

Hello:)
Know it’s an old thread, but guess the topic aren’t :D
Is there any problem going with a thinner disc? The semi-floating ones, I can source, seems to be only 4mm thick vs. the original 6mm.

Happy riding!

Paz2112 ref front brake master cylinder alternatives. I use a Triumph Sprint ST 955i front brake master cylinder ( other Hinckley models also fit ) which I got for 22 quid off eBay. Transforms the front brake action. Also use one on my Laverda triple.

Hello there was just reading through this thread and read your recommendation for a ST 955i cylinder - so all you have done is swopped out the stock master cyl for the ST 955i one, everything else is stock ?

Only asking because mine has double discs, and despite the brakes being very good, the action leaves a lot to be desired, if fitting a ST 955i cylinder improves things then it sounds like a worthwhile mod.

Hi Andy it’s a straight swap. You may have to have the Triumph banjo bolt as off the top of my head I can’t remember if it’s the same thread size as the Morini. It makes a massive difference in feel. I have the banjo bolts if needed. They also have an adjustable dog lever for the span which helps too.

Thanks for that, might give one a shot on mine.

If it gives the brake a bit more "feel" / makes it more progressive that will do me. As it is the brake is a bit binary !!

Seems to be a few on E Bay at the moment.
