The problem with bureaucracy, they have to keep fiddling so they have a job. It is one step away from dictating a life span for a vehicle, probably to ensure the conversion to the much more convenient, efficient, totally environmentally friendly EVs. No good for us as unless the batteries improve they are useless for anybody who wants a day out of 100 plus miles. But with autonomous vehicles soon to be legalised there will be no room for motorcycles. Probably why the Government has no policy for motorcycling. Shame, as motorcycles are the answer to personal mobility with a small footprint, cheap to build and easy to park.

Very concerning.
I have spread the 'good tidings' with several other groups I'm involved with.

Morinis & Motorcycles - Is there anything else?

Scary. For me the main fun in motorcycling is getting a bike that hasn’t ran for years working or adapting bikes to be how I like them.

It’s yet another thing isn’t it. Can’t be left alone can we? The garage or workshop is often the only escape.

Re: Something to be very concerned about.
Looking at the latest posts on the Vintage Motor Cycle Club Forum, it seems there are at least five or six well respected motorcycling organisations keeping a close eye on this and they have a strong armoury of valid and plausible arguments to put forward.
The vintage riders/restorers/businesses have more at stake than anyone, so I am hopeful that we won't be railroaded. We must be watchful, and not afraid to stand up for ourselves and our lovely motorcycles... and yes, I do care about the planet.

It's another part of the slow demise of the culture we used to have , but now we cling onto , I don't have to make a list we all know what's happening , the old order is not going anywhere soon , find some four star stick it in the tank and make as much noise and burn and blow as much smoke as we can and if you can find a decent pub that hasn't been closed down , have a pint and stay out a while , motorcycles are a symbol of freedom , long may it continue.
