Hello guys..
I've seen weird fabric or plastic contraptions between the very small seats and petrol tank on some small Italian bikes of the 50s.
I wondered if anybody on here knew what they are or their function.?
Thanks, Frank.
Anyone know what it is?

I've heard them referred to as 'tank bras', which amuses me. I'm sure they are just an accessory thing that fills an awkward gap between tank and seat. The seats are often on mountings that allow them to be adjusted back and forth, so a gap appears. Also, as they are Italian they need to be racy looking so a pad reminiscent of lots of vintage racing bikes hints at the sporting capabilities of these erm, beasts.

Re: Anyone know what it is?
I have them on several small Italian machines.
Add a touch of Italian flare especially when ones balls are as big as a Donkeys.God save the King (& my pistons)

Cheers Arthur...I will try to get one as I've accidentally chipped the paint on my tank and it would cover it up just lovely..
