1977 350 Strada - Sold
1977 Moto Morini Strada 350
Purchased by me privately in Germany last summer through a member of the Moto Morini Germany Club. Bike had been in storage for two years and was sold by the previous owner’s widow. I have copies of the German documentation. Trailered back to England and re commissioned in October 2020 by Jim McLean in Bristol ready for the Moto Giro. Fully NOVA’d and DVLA registered in November 2020 as a Historic Vehicle with an age related plate.
This Strada features;
Frame number 13913
Sport front end with twin discs
Wire wheels
Stainless exhausts & Lanfranconi DGM silencers
Cibie LH dipping headlamp lens
Updated AC generator
New battery (fitted 08/20)
New cambelt (fitted 09/20)
New Avon Roadrider tyres (fitted 01/21)
Odometer records 6000km
The Strada comes with a good selection of manuals and parts books including the desirable ‘blue book’, exhaust spanner and a good condition standard dual seat.
Have had a lot of fun over the past 10 years riding Morini’s in events both here and abroad, but it’s time for a change of direction following the loss of a close friend. The last ride was a few weeks ago. 200 miles on the Wells Classic Motorcycle Club’s Tortoise & Hare event. She ran perfectly.
£4650.

Re: 1977 350 Strada
I've got Pantah discs. Bit hard to tell on my phone-screen. The cutouts look different. Maybe though

Re: 1977 350 Strada
This must be the bike from Matthias, isn´t it?
Re: 1977 350 Strada
Hi Norbert. Good to hear from you. It is indeed the Strada that Matthias built. Unfortunately I never met Matthias but would welcome any information you can add on the bike.
Re: 1977 350 Strada
Hi Keith,
I´ve spent a lot of long nights with Matthias on the german Morini-meetigs in the past. A very simpatic and funny guy with a lot of morini experience and a very good mecanic. It realy was hard, when he left us that early.
But I can´t tell you much about this bike. Mostly he used to come with a 500 or with this one. His bikes allways have been in very good conditions and well cared.

Re: 1977 350 Strada
Those are Japanese discs
The front Borrani is the correct one for the 350 Sport ( i have been looking for that one for quite a while)

Re: 1977 350 Strada
was pretty close: Ducati Indiana (custom model based on Pantah)

had a few years ago as a spares bike... discs remained to use on a Morini project
Also have spare sets of Pantah discs, they fit too

Re: 1977 350 Strada
I always thought -anecdotally- Pantah discs needed a small amount milling off the mounting surface.
I have spare Morini and Pantah discs, but Ive never put them side by side on a flat plate

Re: 1977 350 Strada
They are actually Excalibur-discs (to stay a bit on-topichendre wrote: ↑22 Aug 2021 18:33 was pretty close: Ducati Indiana (custom model based on Pantah)
