Over winter I've been wearing a textile (as opposed to leather) jacket and it has developed a strong wiff of exhaust fumes - I find it kinda nice but my wife is not so keen!!!
I think the bike is running a little rich but not what I'd call badley so - the inside of the pipes are a bit sooty but nothing else (& I have no intention of fiddling as it runs so well, never stalling, no hesitation or flat spots).
Is this common due to the high pipes? Has anybody else noticed?
Does your jacket smell............??????????
Hi Splodge
My jacket used to smell of fumes when I had the Corsaro -perhaps there is some kind of swirl effect behind the bike?
'Eau de Morini pour homme' also available as a body spray...Well Harley marketing wouldn't miss a trick like that.
Used have an early Guzzi Le Mans, with bell-mouths fitted; when I got off that it smelled as though the jacket had been stuffed inside the exhausts!
Regards

With my Speed Triple it's just the same...with the original exhausts and the low Arrow...the jacket smells nicely!
Guess it's the vacuum you create behind your back that sucks the fumes towards the jacket...though I think partly it's also because you catch way more fumes of other vehicles with a vinyl jacket than with a leather one.

I own a Black Vanson heavy duty leather jacket from Massachusetts U.S.A.It has saved me a few times over the last 12 years and has never been laundered to come to think of it.I try to mask the manly aroma or should I say subtle fragrance by rubbing the outside leather surface with Australian Leather Seal,s bees wax.Rerely, I spray the inside lining with stockade aftershave. To the often remarked coment of,Mate:Mate Eureka Stockade.
