Can anyone tell me the Hagon number for the correct progressive fork springs for a 1977 3 1/2 Sport? Hagon tell me this model isn't listed.
Also, what is the correct spacer length between spring and top cap? I've experimented once or twice over the years, and can't remember the original size.
Progressive fork springs
Hi, according to the Dutch importer there are only front springs for the Camel:
Type years partnr Fork
Camel 500 84>85 500-198-01 RSU
But however there is another item that should/could fit:
Marzocchi Front Suspencion
Type Partnr Fork
35 mm 500-212-05 RSU
The 500-212-xx is also listed for Ducati Pantah...
more info in Hagon stuff on http://www.hagon-shocks.nl/; regretably only in Dutch. THey are just around the corner so I could pass by and ask if there is any other possibility.

got a pair of progressive springs from nlm last week, got the stanchions back from being hard chromed, all new seals etc etc, started to rebuild the forks, when iput the new springs in no spring protruded above the fork stanchion, so it looks like some kind of spacer is required. nlm reckon they only have one size spring so thats not the problem, thought i'd maybe got the wrong stanchions back from hard chromers but putting them back together everything else fits ok. so, springs to short or stanchions to long ? baffled. everything i've read tells me no spacer required. any idea's ?
hi, just bought a morini 78 3 1/2 strada basket case so hopefully will be talking to you boys for tips, guidance, help...............
thanks for that, think i'm gonna refit the old springs and see where they sit in relation to the top of the stanchion then adjust the original spacers to suit. [so the new springs are compressed the same amount as the old ones]. does that make sense ?
