Granpasso Throttle Issue
Has anyone else had throttle issues with their GP?
When I push mine forward to close the throttle it goes over where the stop should be - which is a little un-nerving - even if you are used to it...
The grip is firm on the throttle tube so I am guessing that something has broken off inside. Anyone got any ideas?
Thanks,
Andrew

Re: Granpasso Throttle Issue
I heard, from the mechanic at Moto Corsa when in conversation with a colleague, that they all do that. Not a good piece of news, but you know that it's not broken, just bad design...

I hope that is not the case Chris but if so I'll have to think up a modification....
Re: Granpasso Throttle Issue
My second GP did that ,would be good to know why .
Re: Granpasso Throttle Issue
Mine did the same. From memory, if you open up the housing next to the throttle, you will see the problem, which is a bit of plastic wearing out. A bit of superglue fixed mine, and it's been fine ever since (about 4 years and counting...).
If you are interested, I'll see if I can take some pictures. It was pretty straightforward, and I'm no mechanic.

That would be very helpful - I have to say I do find it unsettling....

Mine does it but scrambler doesn't I don't find it a problem.
Re: Granpasso Throttle Issue
If you remove the RH switch gear you will find that at the end of the throttle cable the plastic throttle housing bends in on the cable which means it can then go past its stop. I added some heat-shrink to fill out the gap to stop the plastic folding over.
Really easy to do and only takes about 20 minutes...once you know why and how
