Castrol GTX. 98000+ miles so far so can't be a lot wrong with it.

Re: Strada oil type
Having oil is better than no oil!
In the 80s I ran mine on GTX when it was 20/50. Changed it every 1000 miles. Oils have moved on and I change every 2500 miles. Halfrauds is probably a better oil now than gtx 30 years ago.
I have used Motul 10/40 semi too, when the right price.
Tight? Me?

Spoke to Pietro at Moto Di Marino (fab Italian bikes in a small West Sussex village - who knew!?) who said 20/50 mineral for the Strada but that the bike isn't too fussy
Re: Strada oil type
If the motor had run for years with mineral oil I would stay with it. If it´s rebuild and really clean inside you may change to sintetic. That´s what most people suggested in endless oil discusions here in germany.
