New strada main fuse keeps blowing

My recently acquired strada has started to blow the main fuse. I have cleaned at the earths and electrical contacts which seemed to cure it, but to day it blew another one, have I missed something or just thick. I ran for over 1 hour before the fuse went. The bike is 1981 electric start strada which has stood for years last taxed 2004, any ideas ?

It's not going to be a connector or an earth.

You need to examine the loom for places that might have rubbed through, or switches that have failed internally.
