Hi, i have an odd problem with my camshaft pulley that i cannot figure out, so i'm hoping someone out there may be able to help.
Its a simple problem, when i tighten the nut up holding the pulley onto the camshaft, the camshaft tightens up so you cannot rotate it. It will move but is very very tight! This does not feel right to me i would have thought you should be able to rotate it quite easily by hand (obviously nothing else is attached at this point). I've looked in the parts manual/blue book and everything is in place, its not a new camshaft, pulley or crankcases. I just cannot figure out (other than not doing the nut up tightly!) how to solve it?
Any advise appreciated, thanks, Tony

Re: Odd problem with Camshaft pulley
A thought has just occurred to me, if i have not got the oil seal seated properly and its too far out then that would cause it to feel tight! Now all i have to do is get the pulley off again to check!! Great, not my favourite job!!
