I'd agree if there was some good news about the factory....but it's at times like these that dealers feel they can charge whatever they like and get away with it because of the scarcity of parts...all one sided i you see what I mean...look at Tom's 'Short to ground' thread for the lowdown on valve shims...they cost over FIVE times as much from Morini dealers than you can source them for elsewhere...where's the sense in pricing yourself out of the market ??

as for the ECU - manufactured by Magneti Marelli, not Morini
speedo - manufactured by M.A.E. in italy - not Morini
point is a lot of the cycle/ancilliary parts are sourceable aftermarket...more will become so IF there is a demand for them as OE parts dry up.

Cylinder head ....? now your talking, but unless the factory tools up again I reckon were stuck with the stockpile of spares that currently exist and no amount of misguided loyalty will alter the fact.

I'm all for supporting the factory but it needs to be alive first...there seems to have been little in the way of good news for months.....

Twisty has rightly observed that this may be construed as an argument...it's not...just an airing of views that we're all entitled to .

If it's any help, I've just noticed oil filters on ebay.it - item 250815282166 at 19.50 euros.

Cheers, Mark. (Scurries back down to the Tre e Mezzo forum...)

Dave/Tom
Don't know if this is a Red Herring but I bought a new filter from NLM, which cost me £23.00.
So I was looking around and noticed on an Italian site a K&N filter for the Corsaro, KN-152 is the code.
I've bought one from Sportsbike Shop for £10 plus delivery. It looks the same, but I'll check it out when it arrives, do you know about these, they seem to be for Aprilia?
Cheers.

So I took a chance and spent 10 quid, but the the KN-152 does not fit the Corsaro.

It's too big, not mile too big, but a bread knife won't help.

last time i purchased about six filters including "o" rings for about 48 incusive of delivery from the above link.

Only works if you purchase in bulk to make the postage economical.
At the time they were miles cheaper and that was when the factory was defunct.

Just checked the site Twisty, no joy for the oil filters I'm afraid.
Will contact them via Email, though. Thanks.
