75 MM 350 sport fairing

Post by Ponch1972 »

Hi all

I just purchased my first 75 350 sport (drum brake) and saw a similar bike with what appears to be a Ducati SS fairing on it. Please see pic attached.

Can anyone tell me if this would fit or if a purpose made one is available.

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards

Ponch

Oh.... I will post some pics when I collect her this Thursday

I fitted a rickman sports half fairing to my 350 sport in '78', it was off a KH400 and fitted OK. The fairing frame was mounted on the front down tubes. On another 350 i fitted a TZ350 fairing, and made my own frame. That was mounted to the headstock and attached with 2 exhaust clamps. I think the 900ss fairing would be a perfect size though.

Hi Brian

Thanks for that. I placed my brothers SS fairing on her this arvo and looked ok.

Once I get her off the trailer and given her some TLC I'll post a few more.

Hi Ponch,

she's a little beauty isn't she :o) Love the paint work, very similar to my old paint scheme except the green section on mine was silver with a black pinstripe.

Have a look at these people http://fibrasclasicas.com/tiendavirtual ... b8203bc395 they do a race fairing for a morini that might be suitable? I've never bought anything from them, so cannot say what quality or service is like!

Hope this helps,

Tony

A couple of the classic fairing manufacturers do list a second smaller version of the ducati style fairing, listed as fitting ducati singles etc, it may well be a better size/fit for a 3 1/2 than the full size bevel one

Hi Ponch,

Thought it was in Aussie I recognised the bike, it was located in Sydney.

I am in Port Macquarie, I used to live down that way many years ago.

It is a nice bike, I have the 1974 3 1/2 Sport, they are fun to ride. I am still having fun sorting the tuning with the carbies, I am thinking that I may remove the balance tube and tune them separately.

What is the history on that bike?

Cheers
