I’m in the long slow process of re-assembling my 500 motor and keep identifying missing bits. The latest is when assembling clutch I am missing part number (according to the parts manual) 21.01.90 which is described as a ‘spacer washer’. Mdina parts search don’t recognise it. Yep, thats the one thats in it.

I will be getting them measured at an engineering place in the next day or so ( I don’t have the tools for this) but a rough measurement wth a vernier gauge indicates a difference of about .25 of a mm.

Wellll, I’ve got a new left side main bearing from MDina Italia which apparently is a modern replacement for the original. After having the new bearing pressed into the crankcases the next problem has arisen. The crankshaft, which I believe should just ‘slip in’ doesn’t. A few gentle taps don’t help...

I knew where the dowels go, it was all the measurements that were doing me in! Trying to make sense of not enough information. Steve Brown has set me on the correct path.
