Hello everyone,
I just realized that my 1981, MK1 Camel, runs without a battery. Also, the headlight and taillight work. What is the 6V 2ah battery used for then? I am quite happy that the battery isn't required, as this will help avoid a tow in the desert! Ben

Hi Ben
The 6V is for things you don't need in the desert
Like the horn and indicators. Morini wanted the smallest battery and cheapest they could get away with and still be legal in Europe.
There's some threads on here about conversion to 12V with a modern battery.
