Hi,
The parts list for the 500 shows the two front wheel bearings as the same diameter but different widths. When I ordered a couple from NLM they were the same - Is it normal to replace the wider one with a bearing of the same width?

Hi. I have only ever used the same bearings both sides.
Tip: scrape any muck, bubbly paint and corrosion from inside the speedo drive side bearing hole before you push the bearing out else there is a risk of the speedo drive gear splitting.
