Tank chrome strips

Post by Otto Uldum »

Hello!

I can't find the chrome strips for the tank nor the seat for my 1978 Sport. Does anybody have a solution using a generic product or something from another vehicle?

Hi Otto,
I found that classic mini wheelarch trim worked for me. An example is this.

Many cars in the 1970's had 'flange' trims like this, so it's worth looking at other classic cars and their clubs, not just minis as it might be easier to get for you.

Hope this helps,
George

I should have also added that the above was for the tank, not the seat...

Thanks George! I'll get my local MG dealer to get them for me.

I used this on my tank last year.

Near identical to the original.
