Any admin able to contact me about a profile issue I have?

I managed at some point to generate two profiles. The email address currently attached to this profile, a Google mail email, is no longer in use, and the email address I need to attach to this profile is being used by my "other" profile, for which I have forgotten the user name.

I'd like to somehow get the correct email address attached to this profile, I guess by deleting the other profile.

Im not getting forum notifications, as they are still being sent to a defunct Google mail address.

If you click on the Quick Links at top left then the Admin Team is listed at the bottom of that. I'd suggest messaging one (several?) of them directly.

I should be able to help you. Please PM me the email address you want to use and I'll search for it. Assuming I can find that profile I'll then try to migrate that email address to this account of yours.

Another admin related question. I dont get emails when PM's are sent or when someone comments anything in reply to my posts.

As far as I can see, my profile is correctly set up, but I'm assuming I'm missing something (or its not an available facility)

I don't think you are missing something as it is exactly the same for me. Either that or we're both missing something!

It seems that the only way to check on the status of any P.M.s is to log in and take a look.

You can change your notification settings:

Once signed in, click on the down arrow by your username then user control panel, board preferences, sit notification options.

There you can tick whether you receive emails for each type of forum notification

Well done ,Tim, for raising this issue. I had no idea that any of this existed and, like you, I have never received any notifications by email.

Thank you Tom for explaining how it should be done. I followed the instructions and ticked a couple of extra boxes. I suppose now I will have to wait and see what happens.

Actually, one of the boxes I ticked was to be notified by email if someone sends me a Private Message. Perhaps if someone could kindly send me a test P.M. that would show up whether it has worked or not? Thanks in advance.

Strange. Does look to be set correct for you Tim and I can see the forum has your correct email address in your account.

Have you checked your email spam to make sure forum messages aren’t ending up there? The forum automated Emails should come from the club webmaestro email address and will have a subject such as ‘New private message has arrived’

Thanks Tom, but the PM hasn't even appeared in my Inbox. Certainly no email notification.

Ah, I think I know what’s going on.

When we transferred the webmaestro role to Barry, the password for the webmaestro account changed and so now the forum can’t send emails on behalf of webmaestro.

I don’t know Barry’s password obviously so I can’t change that but I will change the forum email address back to the old admin one.

That alone might not resolve it in the short term as there is also another issue currently with our domain host in that emails sent to Microsoft email addresses are sometimes being blocked. This is not just a Morini riders club issue it affects multiple customers of our host and is being worked upon with our host and with Microsoft.

Jenny- regarding your no PM notification, that’s odd. The no email notification could be because of the domain issue mentioned above but if you open your forum inbox you should see the message anyway. I can see it still sitting in my outbox which means it’s not yet in your inbox. Most likely reason for that is your forum inbox is full. If you open your forum inbox by clicking on the envelope icon by your username you should able to navigate to your inbox and delete some old mails if it is full. Let me know if that sorts that one out.
