Which year or style are you looking for?

I have a late style tank from a K series bike (slips over spigots on the frame at the front, rather than bolted on).

I also have a perfect pair of Shapecraft early rounded side panels. See this link..

I am in need of an early Strada fuel tank , but they seem very rare. I might be interested in adapting your K tank.
I live in Queensland ,Australia. Postcode 4554. Would you be prepared to pack and post it to me, obviously at my prepaid expense?
If so, could you post/send some phots and price.

Hi Garry.

In theory I would be willing to sell you the K tank and send it to Australia. I appreciate that spares are hard to find where you are, but it would be good for me to be sure that you know how much work may be needed to adapt your frame to accept the tank.

As you probably know, the front of the K tank slips over two spigots on the frame with a rubber buffer in between. At the rear of the tank a nut and bolt go through a bracket on the frame, again with a rubber buffer and bush. Of course you may be a highly skilled and fearless welder/fabricator in which case I shouldn't worry. I shall post some pictures of the mounts on the frame for you to look at and assess.

As for the tank itself. Well it needs paint and badges but there are no discernable dings or dents. You will see in the photos that there is some surface rust but I'm sure it will clean up without any major work. The inside of the tank is clean and rust free as far as I can see.

Price-wise I would be looking for £150 with P&P on top. I have absolutely no idea how much it would cost to send to Australia but we can sort that out as or when the time comes.

In an ideal world, someone may read this thread and offer you an early tank. If that does happen, or if you decide that the K tank will need too much work, that would be fine. It will still be for sale to anyone else, at £150 plus P&P, or free collection in Warwickshire.
