Wheel Paint colour
Have just had the nasty black powder coate on my Grimecca wheels sand blasted. Does any one know the correct colour of silver / grey to use. The closest I can find so far is Hammerite smooth silver. Any tips welcome. Thanks.
I asked this question on the Morini email list last year and the consensus seemed to be that there were 3 colours. Light and dark grey and gold (but only on 500's I think!). The ones on mine (well, not my bike but I'm doing it up for a mate - just very slowly ....

At the powder coaters I looked over their colour chart and settled on a light grey, code RAL 7035. They are very light grey but my mate did like them when he saw them. Phew ......
I would get them powder coated and NOT use Hammerite. This WILL come off when you try to get tyres on/off. With the powder coating this won't happen IF you use a proper tyre shop. i.e. one used to bikes and thus with rubber-protected rim mounts for their machines.
