Moto Morini V-twin parts available

Post by Tom »

Hi Guys,

I have decided that it is time to let go some of my Morini V-twin stock of mainly 350cc parts. I have a small stock of 125H/ KJ and 500cc (Maestro and Camel) parts as well. Both used and NOS.

Of course I will keep some of the parts to keep my own bikes going and some interesting restoration projects for the future as well.

But in the mean time, if you are looking for something, feel free to ask me any Morini related  questions:

Hello Huub, Mdina has them in stock for a fair price, and I think you can get replica's from Germany and the UK nowadays.

https://shapecraft.co.uk/shop

the German guy who did the replica's, i can't seem to find his compagny on the internet. But i have his card. Update: he is not in business any more

Well, used old ones in steel, they turn up now and then, but they are desirable. Better to have the replica's, which I bought a couple of times myself (from Germany).

I stopped selling those kind of parts, since it got me in trouble with my own projects, same for pick ups, i am sold out as for altenators and pick ups.

Aye Tom,

Mag ik vragen of je ervaring hebt met het verkrijgen van een 125H ontstekingssysteem om de ontstekingstiming te vervroegen? Of alternatieve vervangingen?

Goede gezondheid, Bill

Aye Tom,

Please may I ask if you have any experience, with getting a 125H ignition system to advance the ignition timing? Or alternative replacements? The VAPE/Power Ignition and HorsePowerIgnition replacements are no longer available!

I understand that you are unlikely to part with any components, from your earlier posting. Also the prices being asked for 2nd hand, 40+ year old components, with dodgy insulation etc, aren't worth the money, in my humble opinion. But any guidance would be appreciated.

Thank you for your time to read this post.

Good health, Bill

Hello Bill,

I don't know If you are the same English (and Dutch!) speaking person who contacted Tony K about his 125H ignition issues, if so, it has been a long time and still no solution? If not, them the 125H system is a real Bugger and it's time to find an expert who wants to understand, look for replacement parts and recommission the original system? Otherwise, my advise would be something similar as the Vape.. or something that you can make fit on the 125H, Boyer perhaps? Maybe you can fit the 125 Corsaro system from Vape, I know you have two different versions as for rotor/ flywheel fitment, and you will have to check if the engine runs clockwise or anti clockwise, all sorts of questions you will have to find out first. The big advantage of the Vape is that you can set different advance curves with little din switches and the fitment of the rotor is keyless...

I think it is the little pick up coil on the 125H which is causing these issues?

George L. is also on this board? He knows how to fix the pick ups for 350/ 500cc Maybe he can dive into this, it is a Morini after all..

Those are my two (Euro) Cents..or Penny's
