160 miles from Tunnel Sous la Manche, 4h20 according to Goggle Maps.
Motorway to Boulogne then D roads all the way via the coast... lovely.
Train at 9.30 set off at 11.15, stop at 13.00 at a nice seaside restaurant for some moules et frites...
Arrive about 17.30...
What's not to like?

I'll be with you Mike; there are some lovely roads on that route, and I might need to beg a pillion ride to get me home...

Re: Morini European meeting in France 2017
I'd be using the coast roads down to Boulogne, then swing inland to miss Le Touquet and get back closer to the coast at Le Bay de Somme. Let Crotoy is a nice lunch stop, but expensive... Then it's SW to Cany-Barville and drop down southwards to the rally site? And if it's cold, just take the auto-route with two or more coffee stops!
We'll probably be in France on the Wednesday evening and start out on this route Thursday, possibly with a mid-morning break at Montreuil on the D901, as that looks like an interesting town to stop at, and a nice road to ride along...

Montreuil-sur-Mer (nowhere near the sea) is indeed a lovely medieval town on a steep hill and well worth a detour. The cobbled streets are not much fun if it's raining... I see we've got some planning to do.

Planning - agreed. I'll bring some detail maps to the next committee meeting at your, Mark. It's starting to feel 'real' now!

IF i can get there, I will be coming from due South. I can certainly recommend the route down the coast from Calais though. Don't miss Le Treport if you come that way, and Montreuil sur Mer is well worth a stop-off.

Hi All
Just to tell you that the entry forms etc are now on the Moto Morini Passion website in English. If you go to their site; click on the picture on the front page; and then click on the Union Jack button, all will be revealed.
Best wishes, and see you there.

Well, I'm aiming to go there, either on the Dart or possibly the freshly refreshed Strada (does that make sense)?
Thanks for the update, Doug - so see you there, if not before! I guess that you're camper vanning - anyone else staying in a nice warm hotel???
Good riding,
