Carburetors

Post by deslandes3074 »

Has anyone else had a problem with the carburetors shaking excessively? To the point that the tend to flood?
I have fitted rubber inlet tracts from NLM to my '76 Strada and they seem to be too soft, allowing a lot of movement.
The carbs have been balanced and the problem seems to be worse on the front cylinder, especially at idle.
Any ideas? Ron

Have you got the normal rubber trunks from the airbox to the carbs? They help to hold everything in the right place.

Unfortunately the NLM ones are too soft, I had two split in short order, Stuart replaced them no questions asked.
I got a pair from "Start Gomma", google it, different animals, no trouble since.

Thank you, I have just ordered the new rubbers from STARTGOMMA (plus a few other bits and pieces -178 Euro) Not cheap, but worth it if they fix the problem.
Cheers!
