brake pads
hello all, noticed on ebay sinterd brake pads for morini sport, has anyone tried them and does it make for better stopability, currently running on n.l.m issue pads , forever cleaning black dust off the disc, admitadley the chrome disc is crap not much chrome left, i think the feel of the front brake is awfull its off or on! or is it a waste of time changing them, ive got factory set up on bike all working fine no fluid leaks etc, any thouhgts most wellcome. muller.

Re: brake pads
thaks for reply, its got grimeca master cylinder and caliper , and single disc, also goodridge braided hose, i dont want to if possible to start changing the layout to much maybe just improving whats there if i can. but by the sounds of things it could be a case of putting up with it , not sure if a better disc would help, as i said its in poor condition. thanks muller.
Re: brake pads
Single disc brakes with the original 16mm mastercylinder often feel rather wooden, my 1982 Strada certainly did.
A simple fix whilst keeping everything looking stock is to fit the 250 twin mastercylinder. That uses the same front wheel, disc and caliper but the brakes are just about right.
They're something like £60 new from NLM. Some people have fitted generic 1/2" (12.7mm) master cylinder assemblies which you can find on ebay for as little as £25.
The 16mm cylinder is just about the right size for twin discs.
