Hi all,
I have replaced the forks springs on my '82 Strada with a progressive pair from NLM (Hagons), they feel like they need some pre-load. I wa s wondering if any one has an idea as to what size spacer I should start with? I have found a set of adjustable pre-load spacers for Marzocchis which go from 20-70mm, a good plan?

I didn't use any with my new springs but am keen to hear any other users' advice.

What they said.
The front fork sag with you sat on the bike, feet on the pegs, should be around 1/3 of the total travel.

Re: Progressive springs
Thanks for the help.
I ended up with 5mm spacers and it feel about right.
The biggest problem I've been facing is stiction which I tracked down to the replacement mudguard bridge, all was ok without it but binding when tightened, a little persuasion with a mallet seems to has eased thing up!
