Hi all, I'm wondering if anyone has or is able to get pictures of the connection between the exhaust and silencer on the kanguro.
When I got the bike it had a round silver exhaust on it, this rubbed on the rear tyre so I picked up the below as a replacement.
I can't work out how to upload other photos but have had it fitted and now twice it has dropped away from the pipes. the bracket at the back by the grab rail ends up being tight against the frame and only just reaches.
Thanks for access to the photos on Google Drive. From these photos I get the impression that someone has cut off the end of your downpipes slightly by perhaps 1cm to 2cm or a bit more. (I may be wrong, I've not removed my silencer to check). Also, compared to my very similar silencer (which has visible differences near the downpipes area) it looks like the necks are a bit shorter for each of the extensions that the downpipes are intended to fit into. That'd be why you're struggling to get the new replacement exhaust to fit to the frame while still trying to get the downpipes inserted sufficiently - both a shorter than needed.
My silencer is a BREZZI MM 62, bought in person in Italy. If you visit their website to view this silencer you'll see a photo of that shows how much longer the 'necks' are i.e. the tubes where the downpipes are intended to go.
Are you up to welding on extensions if necessary? Other bodges may work as well

Some PS's
There's supposed to be a flat steel bracket to support the silencer that mounts to the frame vertically above the fairly obvious captive thread at the start of my silencer. Mine's perhaps fallen off in use, or more likely somewhere in my garage waiting for me to find and fit it. It's not essential, however I'll fit one when I find one. They're in the parts/spares book - mdinaitalia sells these and there're also floating around as PDF files if you don't have one.
Do join the club if you've not joined. Once you're a member you'd be very welcome in the active Green Lane Section that Steve Brown shepherds. Details are in every issue of the magazine, ARG. We have around 40 of us who ride Kanguros and Camels and also maintain them, of necessity, so we can keep riding them
The rear of the silencer should ideally be supported by a sort of figure of 8 bracket that's effectively 2 tubes welded one on top of the other that has 2 press fit rubber bushes lined with a thin steel bush. That won't fix your current problem, it might support your exhaust better and reduce the risk of fracture(s).
THAT BREATHER PIPE!!! If that is the crankcase breather please remove the kink in it asap. It looks like the steel tube it fits on is facing the wrong way too. The breather should exit to the rear of the bike without any obstructions, especially kinks!
