I’ve been in contact with a reputable Indian manufacturer of petrol tanks called royalchoppers. They have quoted $300 for a steel tank including shipping. If we can get enough interest we may be able to get the price down. Is anyone interested?
Please P.M. myself or Steve Brown if you are.
Cheers,
Kamel.

Re: New Camel mk1 tanks
I'm with you for this Cliff, as you know I can donate a ruined fibreglass type tank if that is what we go with. Already some takers in the Green lane Whatsapp group and expect we will be able to order soon.
Thanks for your work on this-a great initiative to help us keep these bikes on the roads and trails!

Re: New Camel mk1 tanks
be aware, once ordered a custom aluminium tank for my Ducati in India from a manufacturer with good reputation (Vintage Auto World; they claimed that they made tanks for Ducati Kaemna in Germany). Did a down payment and months later afer inquiery heared the contact guy ran off with the down payments from many customers. He (Rohan Puri) disappeard into thin air and the company will not refund or produce the tank unnless I make a new down payment... no contact after I demanded my initial down payment back. Be warned... Royalchoppers posts many similar items to Vintageautoworld and the websites also look quite similar... and I see the same guy in the reflection of some tanks
