I've sourced an adaptor for the back of the speedo which converts from kph to mph, but it means I need a custom cable making up with jap sizing at the speedo end. As I've not got an original to work from could somebody please tell me the length of a Kanguro standard speedo cable ?

Hi there Ted,
I just fitted a Guzzi Veglia compatible one to my X1 that I had stashed at the back of the garage which is slightly longer than the one I removed so I've measured it for you.
The original one is exactly 1000 mm long but the 4" (100mm) longer one I fitted still works fine without fouling anything. Dependent on your bars, you should be able to sort it out from there.

Thanks for that Cosmo , bearing in mind what you've said I'll er on the side of caution I think and go for an extra few inches .
