Centre stand.....

Is it just me, or does the centre stand on the 500 require an above average amount of effort?

It shouldn't be too bad to use unless it's bent or damaged somehow. A 500 will feel heavy though compared to a pre electric start 350.

If your pivot points are worn or the frame bent then the rear tyre will nearly be touching the ground (depending on the rubber profile) and you will have more to lift/further to heave

Cheers, I think it maybe just a combination of wear and tear on me and also being used to more modern bikes' stands
