Fork oil

Hi all. Whats the consensus on fork oil for my 81 500 sport ? Castrol ATF in my manual. Thoughts please.

10 W seems the favourite but you can adjust to suit you and your preference. Anything from 5w to 15w is reasonable.

...and if you've got over 50000 miles on it, you might want to go to a 20W oil. Seems to suit my 98000+ sport anyway, but the less than 20k Strada is happiest on 15W.

George and Steve, thanks for your thoughts. I have plenty of 20w as I use it in my Laverda triple which is a bigger beast. Will try 15w and see how it goes.
