With the demise of Avon following the factory closure I thought I would try a 110/90 Metzler on the back of my SEI. After about 500 miles riding around the Cambrian mountains on wet and dry roads I'm very happy with it.

When I bought the Morini it had Avons fitted front and rear and handling was fine. I eventually replaced these with a pair of BT46s which I have used on other bigger bikes as I couldn't get Avons my size at that time (this was the pandemic availability). Handled fine at first, but as I had found on my other bikes they start to loose grip and skip when there is still a reasonable amount of tread left, particulalrly the front which wears in a weird scalloped pattern. The rear BT46 lasting less than 3000 miles before I replaced it with another Avon. The Avon which I have just replaced lasted just over 4000 miles and was worn to the legal limit.

I still have a BT46 on the front, this has done almost 10K and is getting fairly worn. I will replace that with a Metzler soon.

I recommend Metzler roadtec. Will update WRT front tyre once I've replaced it and done a reasonable mileage.

Totally agree with using Metzeler Roadtec01 tyres, we have had two sets on the 350s for a very long time and they have performed very well in all conditions. 100 width front and 110 width rear. Price was good too, can't remember where we bought them, somewhere online.
Metzeler I think are owned by Pirelli so somehow seem right on an Italian bike

While I have Bridgestones on my Morini's, I have the Roadtec01's on my Norton, and as above I find them excellent wet or dry.
Don't have them on the Morini 's though, as I prefer the steering characteristics of a 90/90 front tyre.
