Clutch pushrod oil leak?

Is it possible for engine oil to leak out of the clutch pushrod directly behind the arm? I have oil build up directly below this on the sump finning. There is an o ring on the short length of push rod, this is listed in the parts books, but I dont see how this can seal if oil exits the bushing in the casing.

There should be an o ring in the bushing , not easy to see . If this is worn it will leak!
Another source of oil leaking in that area is the neutral switch. The rubber/plastic parts degrade and warp, overtightening the 3 small bolts make things worse.

So the fact that the o ring is just floating about loosely and on the pushrod would indicate a leakage point?

If its on the rod and not in the groove of the bushing mystery solved.

Haboola72, Thankyou for your swift and clear instruction. Old sloppy o ring replaced with a new un and all should be good
