Can anyone tell me what camshaft a late 501 Cogauro (Kokusan) would be running?
Thanks
Pete

I'm not sure about the Coguaro, but my mongrel has a 501 Kokusan engine from an Excalibur and it has a J cam. Waves of creamy torque and strong acceleration. Perfect in a 3 1/2 frame.

In that motor should be a "L/L5".

The problem is that the L5 obviosly also is marked only with L. Although I once had a camshaft with L5 in my hands (in Germany I seem to be the only one who ever saw that L5 mark, what makes me wonder" )

Once I mad some L5 (well, I orderd to transform some 350 camshafts to L5). One of them was for a friend in Spain and he told me that this one was not the same as in his 501 Coguaro. So I guess that in the Coguaro normaly is a L.On the other hand there seem to bo two types of L5 cams  . I guess that Paul can tell us more about that

The late 501 Camel and Coguaro are supposed to have the L5 version 2.

Tom and I are measuring camshaft profiles.
