Trip-meter

A very basic question: the 350/501 has 500 clocks on it (check out the low mileage!) but I can't find any way to re-set the trip-meter. Any hints?

Not a lot of help, but it's probably masked by the rubber shroud.

My early 500 has a flexi cable running from the middle of the instrument mount and into the back of the speedo.

Didn't your bike have white faced Excalibur clocks when Paul had it?

I've got a feeling that it (the reset knob) pokes out of the side... But they seem to fall off after a few years
Agreeing with Ming here - there's likely to be a whole under the rubber shroud

You're quite right Pete. Paul was very annoyed that I spoiled the cool white clocks, and I became known as the Morini Murderer. Picture below to show why, but the bike was subsequently lovingly refreshed by NLM who had a couple of NOS 500 clocks which they put on.
