just put in a Lead Replacement additive every 10th fillup and you'll be fine

More important: use premium 97/98 petrol instead of regular 95, the latter contains loads of Ethanol which may shorten the life of your engine as it attracts water into the fual mixture and it is leaner. Many classic drivers are already talking about mixing 2-stroke engine oil 1:250 into their mixuture to keep some lubing property from the fuel itself. Shell V-power still does not contain any ethanol... my preferred choise

On the recommendation of Alex at NLM I used Shell Optimax and then V-Power when that replaced it. I don't use any kind of additive and in seven years I've not noticed any tendancy towards valve seat recession. If anything my valve clearances tent to open up very slight between adjustments.

Are you sure V-power doesn’t contain ethanol, I've read a few things online saying it does, apparently shell keep changing their mind?

I only question it as I always ran my race bike on BP, soon as I ran V-power within 2 meetings the fiberglass tank started to go tacky inside as it started to attack the resin!

Many things attack polyester resin other than Ethanol!

V-Power contains Xylene, Toluene and Benzine!

There have been problems with fibreglass tanks and certain fuels since the 1950's.

Have to watch for an electric motor to fit into the morini chassis at some point I guess. An exciting prospect.

My '79 500S has been burning unleaded for 31 years. If something was going to fail it'd done so by now I think!
