Braided brake lines

Post by Tim »

I’m planning to replace the brake hoses on my 500 Sei - I see from previous discussions aliexpress are a good source but there are so many options I’ve no idea what to order
Could anyone give some ideas on specifications?
Thanks

Send them to Venhill and they will reproduce them in a colour of your choice and choose your fittings. I, personally, would not want to trust Aliexpress with my brakes. Others may disagree. Your bike, your choice.

Hi Tim.

I agree with MickeyMoto. Venhill are good for hoses and fittings. They have a 'Line Builder' feature on their website so you can order what you want and they will send you the whole kit. If you are not sure about details, thread sizes and that sort of thing, I'm sure someone on here will be able to help you out.

Venhill do a service whereby if you send them your existing hoses they were copy them so you get the correct lengths and fittings.

I get hoses made up by Fay at Speedflow in Cheddar, Somerset - a fraction of the Venhill and other bike-specialist costs.

Tel: 01934 864310
She'll do mail-order, great to deal with and can supply (for instance) black OE-appearance hoses, with stainless fittings
You will have to do the leg work - telling her length, hose-end-fittings and fitting-angle but they are a very good product
