It's the same air box as the road 500
Good luck with the quest, Ian

Hi Clark, finding a good 500 air box is difficult
Meantime you could use Polini filters as they work well, fit up under the tank in the original airbox space etc

Have a look at this thread

Hi there,

I have a 501 airbox. It's likely the same. Complete with filter. It is a round barrel type airbox if that helps describe it.

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Sadly that won't fit-it's for the monoshock frames and there isn't anything like the space available to get it in there.
Some people have fitted a 350 airbox to the 500's and I haven't heard them complain about it. It's likely to be as good as standard till you want to go full throttle for 5 miles!

With some modificaciin and a cut, you can use the big 501 Filters in a Steet frame. They are very good. But it's a mess to get at the rockers and stuff like this. Polini Filters Do work even with rain. But to fit their 90 degrees manifolds on 26 or 28 Dellortos you have to use 3 or 4 O-rings each beeing to wide. That's no big Problem either
Dulcinea works with them since 35.ooo km.
