CEV REAR BRAKE-LIGHT SWITCH wanted

Post by simonnorthroad »

I need one of the barrel-type 350 brake-light switches 1974-1976(?) that is under the LHS rider footpeg
Bears on the rider brake-pedal. Under pressure for off, on when pedal is depressed and plunger is released.
I have plenty of swaps or happy to buy

I've had a couple of those recently. Trouble is, everyone I've ever seen (apart from the one that came on my bike when new) is kaput. Corroded usually. I'll check in a day or two and if I have any I'll let you know. They can be taken apart I'm sure, so if you're determined they may be fixable.
All donations to the rest home for old Camels, Leicestershire.

I gave up looking and in the end drilled the mounting bracket out and fitted a switch from a Daihatsu / Mitsubishi with a nut either side of the bracket to position the plunger. A couple of examples..

Hi Simon, is it similar to this?
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/INTERRUTTORE ... SwJTxgD4-X

This later switch is 46.01.89 (Mod CO 0125) and was also used as a side stand switch on later Morinis.
This replaced the earlier switch with a fatter body 46.02.09? (Mod 9278)?

Hope this helps, enjoy the quest, Ian

I ordered one of those from the same supplier. It didn't show up and he gave a refund.

Hi there,

I was wondering if you found the rear brake light switch in the end or if you have any spare one you were willing to sell. Mine died today, the plastic was crumbling inside...

Cheers,
