CEV 206 Handlebar Switch for Kanguro Wanted
Happy New Year to all.
I am looking for a switch for the left handlebar of an X1 Kanguro, the type that combines headlamp on-off, dip and high beam and also indicators, horn etc. CEV type 206. Hoping someone can help as these switches are available from Italy but with Covid the postal disruption for international mail is significant. Regards, Ian

Medina may have one. Mortgage territory.
There used to be a cheaper model, too

Hello Ian,
Sorry I could not find any 206 switch gear, did find a later 305 ? Left hand one, it’s just missing the pass light switch if that’s any good to you.
Regards Pete.

Re: CEV 206 Handlebar Switch for Kanguro Wanted
Hi Pete
Hope you are keeping well and safe. Thanks for looking for a handlebar switch for me, I am resurrecting a 350 Strada that has some non standard (for 1974) indicators fitted, so looking for a period style switch that incorporates a light switch (Pilot/Headlamp and OFF) plus dip and high beam plus indicators and horn. I do not need a "Pass or headlamp flash" switch. Do you think the switch you have found would be suitable?
Best regards, Ian

I may have one I bought but never used. It is only the upper half and has a loom for a different make. I'll find it and post a pic.

Hi Ming, Is that the one for a 250c by any chance. Seems to have the same part number. A picture of the front switch gear would help.Ming wrote:Found it. New, never used €50 posted if it is of interest.

Hi Ming, many thanks for offering your handlebar switch, such a shame you do not have the lower clamp part that fits the handlebar. The clamp part seems to be missing from the offering by an Italian supplier too, perhaps they get broken easily? Unfortunately without the clamp part I doubt this switch is going to solve my problem. Hopefully Bedfordowner will be able to make use of your switch. Keep well and safe. Regards, Ian

I may have the clamp part in my pile of used bits. So you could buy Mings minter and spray some paint on my old tat, maybe?

Hello Ian,
Yes I would think that the switch would be ok, pm your email address and I will send over a photo of it, then you can make your own mind up.
Regards Pete.

Dear All.
I have seen how this forum is supported by such a great bunch of people and I thank you all for your offers of assistance and advice. I am happy to report that Pete (Acemorini) who lives fairly close to me has offered a handlebar switch that will suit my 1974 Strada so I have now turned my attention to the broken switch on my Kanguro. I had a couple of mishaps whilst riding offroad in the foothills of the Pyrenees in the spring of 2019 and I have attached a photo of the switch. If either Steve or Simon can help with the lower clamp part of a CEV 206 switch I would be most grateful.
Best regards to you all, Ian
