Grimeca master cylinder wanted

Post by gray3403 »

Does anyone have 13mm Grimeca master cylinder for a 1976 3 1/2 Sport.
Not bothered about condition. I seem to be missing one completely on my rebuild.

A 13 mm pump in my opinion is a good choice, although originaly that bike should have had a 16 mm master cilinder.

I have a 13mm square shaped reservoir Grimeca from an Enduro Morini.

Or are you looking for the 13 or 16mm round ones?

Thanks for the offer but the round type would be preferable.
I thought the 13mm would give a lot more feel to the front brake.
I'll bear it in mind- thanks.

Yes, the 13 mm is a good idea. I have one since years with a doble disc on Rocinante. It´s a 2 fingerbrake. I have a round Grimeca pump with an inclined reservoir made for clipons. They are hard to find and have never been mounted to a Morini. Sören in denmark offers to change the original 16 or 19 mm master cilinders to 14 mm. I think that would be the right size, because with 13 mm and dobledisc there is a certain danger of overbraking if you panic

You could be right. Seems like 13mm is too hard to find anyway.
I'll just use the 16mm just now and see how I get on with that.
Thanks.
