Headlamp brackets
Headlamp brackets
I think I have non-standard items (see pic). Anyone have any originals for a 77 Strada?

Re: Headlamp brackets
They look the same as mine. My indicators attach to the headlight mounts. The holders on the forks are different, though. Mine are bright and clamp rubber on the stanchions.

I may have some for a 250 in the shed but they are for smaller diameter forks. Might even be some 350 ones. The chromed steel clamps that go round the rubber part tend to suffer with age or go awol in the course of a refurbishment. Too cold to go out digging through the cardboard boxes today!
Re: Headlamp brackets
Thanks, let me know if you have any luck

Don't know the guy, but I saw these from one of our eastern neighbours

Re: Headlamp brackets
Very similar to the ones I currently have on the 2C/375, which were on the ratty old 77 Strada I 'broke'. How much??? I must treasure them.MickeyMoto wrote:https://www.discovolantemoto.co.uk/tomm ... -998-p.asp
I'll get in to the shed later this week when it warms up a bit, but those ones from Germany look OK. Is that a starting price or a BIN?

It seems like a fixed price to me, it's not the ebay where you have to bid but just adverts

I did find most of a set but they are from the Spanish barn find 250 and only about 32mm diameter. In any case one chromed steel clamp has a missing strap and one rubber sleeve is not turning up yet.
The 250 part numbers are 19.02.30 (right) and 19.02.31 (left). 350 are 19.02.23 and 19.02.24 by the way.
Re: Headlamp brackets
i rebuilt the headlamp brackets on my 350 with new stainless side plates, and new stainless bands ( the smooth parts of a large worm drive clip. )
so basically only the original rubber is left.
easy to spot the difference with a original set, they dont rust...

Great idea - not suitable for a [insert suitable word] though, you should paint the brackets blackhuub wrote:i rebuilt the headlamp brackets on my 350 with new stainless side plates, and new stainless bands ( the smooth parts of a large worm drive clip. )
