Has anyone got one of these, the black round type?

The early 750 GT Ducati had a round tail light; I don't know if it's the same as on the early Morini 350. Is it worth checking out Ducati parts suppliers?

Unfortunately not, the Morini-version has a larger steel housing and a flat plastic glass... The licenseplate holder is different too, but the same as on later Morini's.

that would be a CEV 9313, also used in Ducati's & Guzzi's of that era

Thank you all for your comments; I guess that it had to be a stock CEV item, the question being "which one?" and it looks like the answer so far is CEV9313. I attach a photo of my number plate/light holder. There is a circular hole cut out from the number plate of 40mm diameter into which is set a substantial piece of rubber held in place by the screws (heads visible,) reducing the hole to 25mm diameter and incorporating the fixing holes for the light unit at 50mm centres. There are small rubber bumpers set at approximately 58mm centres. it looks a bit odd and my first thought was that it had been adapted to take the currently attached CEV9350 but the work has been so well done that I wonder if that is just how they were? So, does anyone know if that is how they were and if the CEV9313 has 50mm centre fixings and an outside diameter of 60mm to sit on the bumpers? These may be the last pieces in the jigsaw.

Yes, that is how they were. At least on the later chrome 1970's type lamp. I would guess this is a standard CEV style mounting that would also suit the earlier type you're looking for.

Yep, all these plateholders are the same, for square or the round taillight

Looks like the right one, only the licenseplateholder is different

So, I bought a reproduction CEV9313 from America. It required extensive re-working to make it useable but I am happy enough with the (almost) finished result and I regard it as an improvement on the later unit previously fitted. Hans, this is your seat-base, eventually re-covered with a lower profile at the rear in an attempt to make mounting and dis-mounting less of a challenge.
