The CEV 169 was produced with many different electrical configurations and indeed in more than one phyisical size.

Also: you can buy them new nowadays, but they have indeed differences in 'screw' distance (the position where they bolt onto the handlebar) Most of them are the bigger Moto Guzzi V7 mounted ones:
