Hi,
Does anybody have a 501 (later engine) clutch holding tool please so I can get the centre nut loosened off?
thanks,
Mike.

It's the same as 350. Easy to make from a driven plate (replace them to if you're doing friction plates, the cost isn't that much extra). No real need for the holder with an air or electric impact driver. If the bike is in one piece you should be able to put it in top and stand on the rear brake to get the nut off.

Thanks for the advice.
The engine is on the bench, and I have tried a socket on the gearbox sprocket, but that isn't working.
The engine has allegedly done 11,000 kms, but probably more as the speedo wasn't working. I'll have a measure up and see what needs doing.
I'll buy the tool as it will be used again shortly on the 350.
Mike.
