See my for sale ad re stainless downpipes. They are not a bad fit at the port but need packing to ensure a gaslight fit at the pipe. John

I might have something suitable in the shed but it's off a 77 Strada and part of a home brewed (not by me) 2:1 though so the length may not be right and no balance pipe joint.

A thing I have discovered is that there seems to be 2 types of left hand exhaust pipe.My K1 has a rusty left hand left hand pipe.I got a new one but the bend is different so will not match up.The heatshield mounting points did not match either.
I am told by "the source" that the type I need is not available.Of course If i replaced the lot that would do.I am trying to retain the black chrome look. The SITO silencers seem to work OK and the bike runs well enough.I have no desire to make unpleasant roaring noises in the countryside.Did that before with a Piper 3 into 1 on my Trident.
So if anyone has a suitable black lh pipe please let me know.
Has anyone fitted stainless pipes and successfully coated them with a non matt black finish.I've seen some peely matt finished pipes about. There used to be something called Sperex I used once in the 70's

thanks John

hello all, the two into one pipe is very tempting , stick on a mega raise the carb needles terrorize the locals iam warming to it ! picture this scene middle aged man ,morini sport riding up and down quiet resedential road, neighbour getting into car puts golf clubs in boot, looks at man on bike with disgust, bike is smoking like a steam train, neighbour with fist raised in air shouts "you will effin kill someone on that thing" morini gent replies "yes and i know were to effin start" this happend to me last week oh the joys of motorcycling ! p.s did enjoy johns ramble ,thought i would have a go!

I have numerous stainless steel down pipes if you want one. I may also have some mild steel ones too. I also have stainless 2 into 1's. PM me to to exchange details in order to talk.
