Does anyone have a spare speedo drive that I could buy off them?
I'm pretty sure my front wheel/speedo drive is a Kmh one (probably ended up in due to crash damage!). I'm presuming the teeth on the actual gear on the wheel will be the same.....

Hi,
I'm sure that the different 'gearing' for km vs miles is in the speedo head. The only time it would ever not be is if you have one of those aftermarket 'speedo mph-kmh converters' which slow the cable rotation down to fool clocks calibrated in km's into showing miles. The parts book only shows 1 front wheel and one speedo drive whatever the market. It is the clocks that are different.
Hope this helps,
George.

Thanks for the reply George, The clocks are defiantly MPH (on the face anyway! inside could be a different story).
My front wheel is stamped with a later date (83) the bike is a '79. At the moment I think the front wheel being a generic Grimeca type must have come out of another bike, which shared the same style? I guess the only way to really tell would be to count the teeth but I'd need a willing party to count there’s too!
