I bought one from Dieter Hoffman, the hardened version that you can use with roller bearings. morinicorse1 -at- aol -dot - com
It's a while ago but maybe he still has one or two

Hombre,
Best regards to Dieter and Sören when you meet them in Morano!
If you ever come down close to Valencia, let me know. With that nickname you should do so

Tried new bushes? I would think they wear quicker than spindles.

I think it' s the other way, the wear of the spindle is the main problem. It's realy rare to find a used sindel in good condiciones.

My swinging arm spindle was slightly worn. I had it ground down by about 5 thou overall and turned up some undersize bushes in phosphor bronze. I then reamed them to fit the undersize spindle. All good after about 8,000 miles. I grease them every 500 miles with a few strokes of the grease gun.
