SOLD: Boxford AUD Mk.II lathe project.

Post by Morini Jen »

I have just listed my Boxford AUD Mk.II lathe project for sale on ebay. It is the first time I have tried to sell something on ebay. I listed it at £299:00 but for some reason the advert says £311:68. Still, £299:00 is the actual price.

I hope I am not breaking the Forum Rules by mentioning it here, but I just thought it may be of interest to someone. I suppose it could be argued that it is a useful thing for keeping your Morini on the road..

Here is the link...

Yes, Ebay has changed. The seller no longer pays fees but they add it on for the buyer.

Thanks for that Vitesse, although, erm... what happens if someone pays cash on collection? :?

Do ebay demand some sort of payment? :?

Oy boy, that's a real can of worms. Basically they do everything possible to stop you doing that. You'll find it all but impossible to give someone your address or number unless they have paid first! Not that you'll see the money until they are assured of customer satisfaction!

Everything to ensure that you don't miss them out or actually sell something else without them getting a cut!

O.K. I guess that makes sense.

Oh for a simpler life. Money drives everyone mad in the end. I'm a big fan of the barter system.. "I'll wash your car if you cut my hair".. That sort of thing. Hey ho.

You are welcome to wash my car but you wouldn't want me doing a bit of hairdressing! :)

There was no mention that either would be to a good standard. I would have a go? But I don’t need my car washed!
